New Video: Nervosa - Death

Brazillian thrash metallers Nervosa release their brand new video in the lead up to the release of their new album Victim Of Yourself.

This is my first time hearing the band and I really liked the song. I am slowly getting more into thrash metal and understanding it a lot more than I did say a year ago. Here's a taste of Nervosa!

Two amazing videos!!!

Hello everyone I hope you are well! On this post I am sharing two videos that have caught my attention!!

The first one comes from Dutch Symphonic metal heads Within Temptation; it features not one but two of metal's leading ladies, front lady Sharon Den Adel and ex-Nightwish turned solo vocalist Tarja Turunen. The song is just flawless, both voices compliment each other remarkably. Within Temptation released The Unforgiving two years ago so it is refreshing to see some excellent new material from them. It has been a long time since we have seen Tarja in the spotlight but it is great to see her back and better than ever. If this video isn't further proof that Within Temptation continue to produce original haunting material then I don't what it.

The next video I understand it was released a month ago but I have finally got round to watching it. It's from London hard rockers New Device and it's the second single of their latest album Here We Stand. It is my personal favourite song off the album so I was pleased to see it released as a single and a video. I love the catchy melody of the chorus and it makes an excellent opening track for the album.

So those are the two brilliant videos I thought I must share! Take care now and stay musical!

Jettblack - Prison Of Love video and Aerosmith's new single

Jettblack have released a second single from their latest album Raining Rock accompanied with a very artistic video. It's for personal favourite song on the album Prison Of Love, the mixture of animations and live actions blended together very nicely. Of course the theme of the video fitted with the concept of the song, being in a prison. This is in my opinion the best video from Jettblack so far; it is different to what their previous videos have consisted of so far. A top notch video, Jettblack never fail to disappoint.

Head over to Metal Hammer now to check out their brand new video.

In other news, looking on Spotify this morning I realise Boston rock legends Aerosmith have a brand new single. Listening to What Could Have Been Love this morning I was very uplifted by the single, if I didn't know it was a new single I would have assumed it was one of their classics. It reminded me of their wonderful I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing and I think it's still great to see that Aerosmith still have the power in their music after many years performing. It's a single from their upcoming album that due for release in November this year.

Rachel Hawker - Don't Wanna Break Your Heart video

Well I handed in my last assignment in today so I am now free to catch up with my blogging and reviewing; this makes me very happy. I am reviewing today a video by upcoming singer/songwriter Rachel Hawker; it has been a while since I had heard from this extremely talented lass from Brighton and I got to watch her brand new video for her song Don't Wanna Break Your Heart. The video I feel has a very simple but effective concept; I love how the drawings are done in stop motion animation and the words and pictures match the song perfectly. The song itself I find very relaxing which is perfect now I've handed in all my uni work and the weather being just perfect today. Great music Rachel; keep it coming and I hope to hear more soon.

Jettblack - Raining Rock single and video

What a fantastic day to kick off my busy day today; four piece hard rock band Jettblack released their brand new single Raining Rock. Giving the fact their debut album Get Your Hands Dirty was very successful and well received I was excited about the new release. The song starts of with the sound of Will Stapleton's distinctive husky vocals that are provided for Jettblack along with a single drum beat and a strumming guitar. You get the vibe of a stadium rock song right there. To be quite honest it did take me a while to get into the song however after hearing the spine chilling chorus and slickest guitar solo the biggest grin had spread across my face. In some parts of the song I am reminded of AC/DC's classic Thunderstruck when you hear the chants RAINING ROCK from the crowd. Overall a fantastic new single to introduce us of what's on Jettblack's upcoming album with the same name. (9.5/10)

The video for the song has a fantastic concept that most of us can relate to; it follows along the lines of an X Factor type talent show with a twist. It is done in a dictatorship manner where a fictional judge Lord Zoltan rules Britain's airwaves since he assassinated Simon Cowell in the video. Only bands of Lord Zalton's tastes go on through to the next stage of the competition but those who don't get shot by his cronies. Jettblack manage to impress Lord Zalton however one of Lord Zalton's girls accidently sits of Lord Zalton's button to eliminate bands so Jettblack are shot down. Wasn't happy that Jettblack die at the end but I do love how the video has it's own hilarious take on how band's are now accepted into the music industry. (10/10)

Theory Of A Deadman - Bitch Came Back video

Hello everyone; it has been a while. I have finally moved to my new house for university and I am settling in well; I am much closer to the action in Southampton and it is such a relief. I found the link on my Facebook wall today promoting the brand new video from Theory Of A Deadman; it's for my personal favourite song off the album Bitch Came Back. I find the song incredibly amusing; I love how the lyrics describe how guys see the girls sometimes. The video I found to be hilarious since it shows in a comical way how far fans can go when their band does something that doesn't please them (i.e. posting negative comments on YouTube and hatemail) in this video this particular fan goes as far as killing the band. I like how the woman crosses of each band member on her arm when she kills each member and how lead singer Tyler finds body bags with his band members names on them. A perfect video to reflect the title of the song. You can watch the video now by clicking here.

OK Go and The Muppets

Just watched the new music video from Chicago rockers OK Go who are very well known for their quirky music videos; like this one for instance.

It was interesting to see a notable band in my books collaborate with everyone's favourite characters from The Muppet Show that has been a part of most our lives for a long long time. This new video is very well done and a bit different to what OK Go have made in the past; music video wise. Most of their videos up to know have included one camera angle and several actions; simple but very effective. I also found this video amusing to watch as The Muppets add the comic relief to the video; the one thing that didn't work for me in this video was the end where there was a lot of screaming that got a bit repetitive.

Overall an amazing, comical video; the band's version of The Muppet Show theme was incredible, I liked how they covered the song in their own style of music and not too much like the original. Great work boys.

Chasing Skylines - When Love and Hate Collide music video

This music video is pretty much too brilliant to go unnoticed; it's from four piece alternative rock group Chasing Skylines who hail from Birmingham, England. I love how the video linked with the theme of the song i.e. two guys after the same girl, I must admit I get excited very easily so I did jump a bit when I saw all the pretty fairy lights in one place. The song was pretty awesome too; really upbeat and the melody was amazing.

Definately hope to see them do a show or hear more material from them soon.

Back from Watchett and new music

Hello people; just got back from staying with my aunty and uncle in Watchett, a small seaside town situated in the English county Somerset. I had a wonderful time walking along the pier, scoffing cream tea and shopping in Taunton.

Grumpy Jack
Me trying to pull out the sword in the stone haha

I also recieved Black Stone Cherry's brand new album Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea that arrived just before I went off to Somerset; I have to say it was some great road trip music. Kicking off with their cracking new single White Trash Millionaire got the album well under way; I loved the different variety of songs such as the country sounding All I'm Dreamin Of to the down and dirty Blame It On The Boom Boom. My personal favourite on the album is a song called Won't Let Go; it's so heart warming and touching, it always has me welling up inside every time I hear it. Overall an outstanding album from the Kentucky rockers; possibly their best album to date. Here is the brand new video for White Trash Millionaire.

Also coming back to a couple of videos from two band I like a lot; Amorphis and Black Veil Brides. I love the concept behind the Amorphis video; I had seen pictures of the shoot and wasn't quite sure what to expect. The location and story are incredible; just bought the new album that I will listen to some point this week.

Black Veil Brides new video is very energetic; I love the setting and I am impressed with the amount of rain in the video their extraordinary hairstyles stay in tact. Their brand new album Set The World On Fire is avaliable to pre-order now; it's official release is 14th June 2011.

New Amorphis video photoshoot

One of my favourite Finnish metal bands Amorphis have posted a photoshoot for their brand new video You I Need; this song comes from their brand new album The Beginning of Time that is due for a release on 27th May in Europe and 7th June in North America.

I'm looking through the photo and I am intrigued by the use of broken car windows and abadoned buildings; also interested by front man Tomi Jousten is dressed as some sort of warrior and is carrying a lady dressed as a mermaid. I think that's the You I Need in the song, I can't wait to see the new video and I cannot wait for the new album.

To view the photos click here and I'll leave you with the new song that will soon be a video
